Market Update:
After a great deal of discussion and a careful review of the steadily declining number of farmer stallholders over the past few years, we have reluctantly made the difficult decision to close the Mount Gambier Farmers Market at the end of June 2026.
Given that the market has been operating since 2012, this has not been an easy decision for the committee. For many of us, the market has been far more than just a weekly event — it has been a community built around stallholders, friendship and shared Saturday mornings.
Between now and then, we will continue to operate as usual. Our farmers markets will run every Saturday, with the final market to be held on Saturday 27 June.
In the meantime, we want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for being part of the market community over the years. Your support, energy, produce, creativity and commitment are what made the market special, and we are very grateful for everything you have contributed.
